Responsibilities

Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture

·      Define enterprise cloud and infrastructure strategy.

·       Establish reference architectures, standards, and governance frameworks.

·       Design hybrid infrastructure solutions covering:

o   Microsoft Azure

o   AWS

o   Private Cloud
o   VMware/Nutanix Platforms

o   Data Centre Infrastructure

o   Container Platforms

·      Develop and approve:

o   High-Level Designs (HLD)

o   Low-Level Designs (LLD)

o   Technical Design Reviews

o   Migration Roadmaps

·      Ensure solutions meet requirements for:

o   Scalability

o   Availability

o   Security

o   Performance

o   Disaster Recovery

o  Compliance

Technical Leadership & Escalation Authority

·      Serve as the highest engineering escalation point (L4/L5).

·       Lead the resolution of critical infrastructure and cloud incidents.

·      Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents.

·       Drive permanent corrective actions and service improvements.

·      Provide technical mentoring to:

o   Technical Leads

o   Senior Engineers

o   Cloud Engineers

o   Infrastructure Engineers

·      Establish engineering best practices and technical standards.
Cloud Platform Engineering

Lead engineering and governance across:

Microsoft Azure

·      Landing Zones

·      Automate provisioning, monitoring, patching, and compliance activities.

·       Drive platform modernisation and cloud-native adoption.

·      Reduce operational effort through automation initiatives.

Security, Risk & Compliance

·      Establish infrastructure security standards and baselines.

·       Lead security hardening initiatives.

·      Oversee:

o   Vulnerability management

o   Patch governance

o   Risk mitigation

o   Security remediation

·      Ensure compliance with:

o   CIS Benchmarks

o   ISO 27001

o   Regulatory requirements

o   Customer governance policies

·      Support audits and security assessments.

Project & Transformation Leadership

Lead major initiatives including:

·      Data Centre Migration

·      Cloud Migration

·      Cloud Adoption Framework Implementation

·       Hybrid Cloud Transformation

·       Infrastructure Consolidation

·      Operating System Modernisation

·       Disaster Recovery Programmes

·      Platform Engineering Initiatives

Responsibilities include:

·      Solution assurance

·       Technical governance

·       Risk management

·       Steering committee participation

·      Technical stakeholder engagement

Professional Services & Pre-Sales Support

·      Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME)during:

o   Bid submissions

o   Technical proposals

o   Customer presentations

o   Architecture workshops

·      Review Statements of Work (SOWs).

·       Support solution costing and effort estimation.

·       Contribute to service portfolio development.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

·      Manage relationships with strategic technology partners.

·      Participate in executive-level technical discussions.

·       Drive vendor escalations and product roadmap alignment.

·       Provide advisory services to customers and internal leadership.

Any other ad-hoc duties as advised by supervisor.

Requirements

·      Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.

·      Master's Degree is advantageous.
·      Minimum 12–15 years of IT Infrastructure and Cloud experience.

·       Minimum 5 years in a technical leadership role.

·       Proven experience in:

o   Enterprise Data Centres

o   Cloud Platforms

o   Managed Services

o   Enterprise Transformation Programmes
