岗位职责

Company Description Eastworlds is the data and deployment layer for embodied AI, supporting companies that build intelligent physical systems. The organization helps transform lab-stage robotics and AI prototypes into reliable real-world operators. Core services include teleoperation, structured data collection from field environments, rigorous field testing, and deployment support. Team members work closely with cutting-edge physical AI companies to solve complex applied problems and accelerate real-world adoption of embodied AI.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Robotics Engineer role based in WP, Kuala Lumpur. The Robotics Engineer will design, develop, and integrate robotics systems that support teleoperation, autonomous behaviors, and real-world deployment of embodied AI platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and testing software components for robotics control and perception, implementing process automation workflows, and analyzing system performance using data from field tests. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine system requirements, troubleshoot hardware–software integration issues, and prepare robots for reliable operation in diverse environments. The Robotics Engineer will document designs and test results, contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, and support deployment activities for customers.

Qualifications

  • Robotics and process automation skills, with experience in designing, integrating, and optimizing robotic systems for real-world environments.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data from tests and deployments, diagnose system issues, and propose effective technical solutions.
  • Software development skills in languages commonly used in robotics (e.g., Python, C++, ROS) and familiarity with version control and testing frameworks.
  • Clear and effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, documenting engineering work, and engaging with customers and field operators.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Robotics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with sensor integration, control systems, teleoperation platforms, or autonomous navigation is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site in WP, Kuala Lumpur, manage multiple projects, and adapt to fast-paced, experimental environments.
  • Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts applied to physical systems is a plus.
