The client is a leading healthcare organisation focused on delivering strategic procurement solutions that optimize costs and strengthen supply resiliency for healthcare institutions.
Job Summary
The
Director, Strategic Procurement
will lead and optimize procurement functions, manage vendor and contract processes, and drive cost efficiencies across healthcare institutions.
Responsibilities
Execute procurement strategies to achieve financial and operational targets within healthcare procurement categories
Build and maintain strategic supplier partnerships to enhance supply chain resiliency and reliability
Establish governance frameworks and balanced scorecards to monitor savings, risk, and compliance outcomes
Drive improvements in source-to-pay processes and consolidate purchasing activities across multiple business units
Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing strategic procurement team to meet organizational goals
Required competencies and certifications
At least 15 years of strategic procurement experience, preferably in healthcare MNCs, pharmaceutical companies, or matrix organizations with central procurement
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline
Proven negotiation skills applied to large-scale procurement contracts and supplier agreements
Strong stakeholder management skills to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership
Leadership skills demonstrated by managing and developing procurement teams
Experience delivering multiple large-scale, multi-functional projects within procurement
Expertise in e-procurement and ERP/MRP systems; experience with public sector procurement systems is advantageous
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Experience with public sector procurement systems
