Position Overview
The Finance Manager is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of the group. Reporting to the Director, this role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, and efficient cash flow management across all group companies. The Finance Manager will also support strategic initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and preparation for future growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Operations & Reporting
- Manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and fixed assets. Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for all group companies.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including consolidation of group accounts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and tax regulations.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure financial health.
- Optimize working capital, including accounts receivable collections and credit risk monitoring.
- Assist in financial analysis for expansion projects, acquisitions, and new business streams to support management decision making.
3. Stakeholder Engagement
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team. Build and develop the finance team as the group grows.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, tax advisors, and other external partners.
- Provide financial insights and reports to the Director and senior management.
- Support investor relations and fundraising activities as needed.
4. Strategic Support
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Assist in various initiatives, including due diligence and process documentation. Support group restructuring and other strategic projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
Job Requirements
1. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in a multi-company or group structure is essential.
- Exposure to IPO, fundraising, or due diligence projects is a strong advantage.
