The Role

Are you a finance professional who enjoys getting to the root of the numbers? We are hiring a Reporting Finance Analyst to join a global finance controllership team in Kuala Lumpur on a 6-month contract. You will safeguard accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance and strong internal controls, while supporting centralised finance functions and driving process simplification. Immediate availability is preferred.

What You'll Do

• Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal control procedures and regulatory requirements
• Reconcile financial reports across systems, investigate root causes of discrepancies and implement corrective actions
• Post manual journal entries and prepare assigned accounts in line with approved account write-ups
• Perform monthly and quarterly analysis of key account components and movements
• Support the treasury team in analysing foreign currency exposure and assist in hedging decisions
• Contribute to process simplification and operational excellence, and support month-end closing and reporting tasks

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally within shared services or an audit / professional services firm
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
• Strong financial analysis and reporting skills with knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS / GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with SAP or Oracle, Excel and HFM
• Critical thinking, problem-solving ability and adaptability, with good command of spoken and written English
• Advantage: ACCA, CPA or CIMA qualification, and experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar data visualisation tools
• Malaysian national based in Malaysia
