Overview
We are seeking an
Insights & Analytics Manager to lead complex data intelligence, competitive intelligence and analytics programmes across APAC.
This role combines
analytical leadership, AI-enabled analytics, data quality and methodology, project management and client advisory. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with large and complex datasets from multiple sources, determining their reliability, developing appropriate analytical and normalisation approaches, and turning the results into clear recommendations for clients and senior stakeholders.
The Manager will also play an important role in evolving how the team works, using
AI, automation and modern analytics tools to improve the speed, accuracy, scalability and sophistication of our analytical products and processes.
This is not simply a reporting or dashboard management role. We are looking for someone with strong analytical judgement who can
challenge data, interrogate methodologies, identify problems, guide analysts and take ownership of the quality of the final output.
Responsibilities
Data Intelligence & Analytical Leadership
- Lead the analysis of complex, multi-source datasets across digital media, competitive intelligence, consumer research and other marketing intelligence sources.
- Guide the integration, transformation and analysis of large datasets using SQL and modern cloud-based data environments.
- Oversee the development of analytical outputs and dashboards using Power BI or Looker/Looker Studio, ensuring outputs are accurate, intuitive and decision-focused.
- Develop and oversee data validation, normalisation, benchmarking and estimation methodologies across different markets, platforms and data sources.
- Evaluate the quality and reliability of data sources using techniques including correlation analysis, benchmarking, anomaly detection and statistical validation.
- Ensure analytical conclusions are supported by the underlying evidence and clearly communicate data limitations, assumptions and confidence levels.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear insights and recommendations for clients and senior stakeholders.
AI, Automation & Innovation
- Champion the practical application of generative AI and AI-assisted analytics across research, data analysis, QA, coding, reporting and insight generation.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive data preparation, validation, analysis and reporting workflows.
- Guide the team in using AI effectively and responsibly, including critically evaluating AI-generated analysis rather than accepting outputs at face value.
- Evaluate emerging AI and analytics capabilities and identify practical opportunities to incorporate them into the team's products and methodologies.
- Drive continuous improvement in analytical processes, helping transition manual workflows towards more automated, scalable and repeatable approaches.
- Encourage continuous AI and analytics learning across the team through practical experimentation, courses, certifications and knowledge sharing.
Competitive Intelligence & Research
- Act as a subject matter expert in competitive intelligence, digital media analytics and research methodologies across APAC.
- Lead competitive intelligence programmes spanning multiple markets, brands, categories and data providers.
- Combine and evaluate multiple third-party and first-party data sources to build a more robust view of competitor activity and market dynamics.
- Lead quantitative research programmes where required, including methodology selection, research partner management, analysis and presentation.
- Work with external data and research providers to assess methodologies, coverage, data quality and suitability for client requirements.
Project & People Management
- Own the end-to-end delivery of major regional and multi-market analytics and intelligence programmes.
- Translate client and business requirements into clear analytical approaches, workplans, methodologies and deliverables.
- Manage project timelines, resources, dependencies, risks and QA across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Provide analytical direction, coaching and quality control to analysts and senior analysts.
- Review team outputs critically and ensure analytical methodologies and conclusions meet appropriate quality standards.
- Balance strategic development priorities with immediate client and business requirements.
- Build repeatable processes, documentation and standards that allow successful approaches to scale across markets and clients.
Client & Stakeholder Leadership
- Build strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, agency teams and external data partners.
- Present complex analytical findings and methodologies confidently to senior and non-technical audiences.
- Act as a trusted advisor, helping stakeholders understand what the data does and does not demonstrate and how it should inform business decisions.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through new analytical products, methodologies and intelligence capabilities.
- Collaborate across APAC and global teams to share methodologies, tools and best practices.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills
Essential

- Strong practical understanding of SQL, data transformation and working with large datasets. Experience with BigQuery or comparable cloud data environments is advantageous.
- Strong experience with Power BI or Looker/Looker Studio and an understanding of effective data models and dashboard design.
- Demonstrable experience applying generative AI or AI-assisted analytical tools to real analytical, research, coding or workflow problems.
- Evidence of continued development in AI and analytics through recognised courses, certifications, professional training or substantial practical projects.
- Strong understanding of analytical validation techniques, including correlation, benchmarking, data QA, anomaly identification and source comparison.
- Ability to interrogate analytical outputs critically and identify when data, methodologies or conclusions may be unreliable.
- Experience managing complex projects and coordinating analysts, stakeholders and external partners.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex analysis into concise business recommendations.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Preferred
- Experience in competitive intelligence, digital media measurement, marketing analytics or quantitative market research.
- Experience with relevant intelligence and research platforms such as Similarweb, SEMrush, Brandwatch, NetBase or comparable tools.
- Experience working with multiple third-party datasets and/or combining client actuals with external estimates.
- Practical Python experience for data manipulation, statistical analysis, QA or workflow automation.
- Familiarity with statistical techniques such as regression, predictive modelling, correlation analysis, confidence assessment and anomaly detection.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud-based analytics environments.
- Experience managing regional or multi-market programmes across APAC.
Leadership Profile
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Is analytically curious and appropriately sceptical - someone who asks whether the data makes sense rather than simply processing it.
- Is enthusiastic about AI but understands that AI outputs require human judgement, validation and quality control.
- Can move comfortably between technical analysis, project leadership and client conversations.
- Actively looks for opportunities to automate and simplify rather than perpetuating manual processes.
- Can coach analysts and raise the overall analytical capability of the team.
- Is highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
