Company: Essen Sales Services Position: Fire Protection Technician Salary: RM 1,800 – RM 2,500 per month Location: Butterworth, Penang Job Type: Full-time About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Fire Protection Technician to join our growing team at Essen Sales & Services. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fire protection systems and equipment for our clients. Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Servicing: Perform routine inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance on fire suppression and detection systems (e.g., fire alarms, sprinkler systems, hose reels, hydrants, CO2/clean agent systems, and fire extinguishers). Troubleshooting & Repairs: Identify defects, electrical/mechanical faults, and carry out necessary repairs or component replacements (valves, tamper switches, control panels, etc.). Installation & Testing: Assist in installing, testing, and commissioning new fire safety systems and equipment in compliance with relevant safety codes and local authority regulations (Bomba standards). Site Inspections: Conduct thorough site assessments and prepare accurate service reports/checklists following each job. Client Interaction: Explain technical issues clearly to clients and recommend necessary system upgrades or repairs. Requirements & Qualifications Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in fire protection systems, fire fighting equipment, or mechanical & electrical (M&E) servicing. (Fresh graduates or junior technicians with relevant vocational backgrounds are also welcome to apply). Technical Knowledge: Basic to solid understanding of fire alarm control panels, piping, pumps, valves, and fire suppression mechanics.
