Job Summary

You will lead the structuring, negotiation, and placement of treaty reinsurance programs, manage client portfolios, and develop business strategies to expand ARB’s presence in South-East Asia’s reinsurance market.

Responsibilities

• Structure, negotiate, and place proportional and non-proportional treaty programs, including Structured Solutions, to optimize coverage, pricing, and security
• Analyze client portfolios, exposures, and catastrophe modeling outputs to recommend appropriate program design, retention levels, and capacity
• Prepare and present submissions to reinsurers, managing quotes, terms, and lines through to firm order
• Manage existing treaty portfolios and serve as a trusted adviser to clients on renewals, market conditions, and program requirements
• Support clients by resolving claims, accounts, and reinsurer queries in collaboration with Technical Processing and Broking Support teams
• Identify and secure new treaty clients and reinsurance markets by developing targeted business strategies
• Build and maintain strong senior-level relationships with reinsurers across South-East Asia
• Ensure all slips, wordings, and records are complete, accurate, and comply with regulatory and market requirements
• Maintain Contract Certainty in accordance with MAS regulations and internal controls

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree in any discipline
• MAS CGI, ACII, Chartered Insurance Practitioner, or equivalent certification
• 4-7 years of experience in reinsurance broking or treaty reinsurance, with proven Property Treaty placement expertise
• Strong working knowledge of treaty wordings, terms, and conditions
• Established network with reinsurers in South-East Asia
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound commercial judgment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in other Asian languages is advantageous for client communication
