We’re looking to add a Manager, Finance in Kempas, Johor

As a Manager, Finance, You will:

Responsible for accounting and finance activities within the company and business units to ensure financial reports are timely and accurate. Provide advisory support to the business units on financial issues.

• Oversee the preparation of timely monthly financial and management reports;
• Perform detailed analytical of monthly financials and profitability of business units;
• Perform costing and margin analysis on certain product line;
• Actively engage with the operation team to discuss and provide advice (where appropriate) on issue with Accounting impact;
• Assist in the preparation of annual budget and rolling forecasts;
• Ensure effective financial control of operations by monitoring and overseeing the use of control systems, procedures and mechanisms;
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, listing rules and other regulatory requirements;
• Maintain good effective relationships with external and internal auditors;
• Manage a small team of accounting personnel;
• Contribute to the workplace safety and health improvement for the employees, as well as environmental protection, by adhering to the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures, and helping to achieve EHS objectives and targets through participation of EHS programs;
• Participate in any special projects/programs as & when assigned by Company.

What skills and experiences are we looking:

• Diploma/Degree in Finance, Accounting or any relevant discipline;
• Posses 8-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 yrs in managerial capacity is an added advantage;
• Working experience in an international accounting firm and / or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to grasp business logic, and apply to accounting and operational situations;
• Knowledge in SAP or other ERP system is an added advantage;
• Good team player, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact at all levels;
• Strong leadership qualities and initiative;
• Hands-on, meticulous and keen eye for details;
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently;
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
