HIRING: PRE-SALES MANAGER – APPLICATION & DATA SECURITY

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia
Work Mode: Onsite
Employment Type: Permanent
Basic Salary: RM12,000 – RM18,000 + Attractive Commission

We are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Manager with strong expertise in Application & Data Security to join a leading IT distribution environment.

The role will act as a technical bridge between sales, customers, resellers, vendors and delivery teams, ensuring security solutions are technically sound, commercially viable and aligned with customer requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop strong expertise in assigned application and data security products
• Prepare technical proposals, HLDs and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Analyse customer requirements and prepare RFP/RFI/tender responses
• Collaborate with principal/vendor Sales Engineers
• Conduct product demonstrations, workshops and technical presentations
• Lead end-to-end Proof of Concept (PoC) activities
• Translate technical solutions into clear business value, ROI and benefits
• Conduct product training for resellers, partners and internal teams
• Analyse competitor solutions and market trends
• Work closely with sales, delivery and partner teams throughout the presales cycle

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in IT Pre-Sales
• Strong experience in technical proposals, BOMs and HLDs
• Experience with product demonstrations, PoCs and RFx responses for security solutions
• Strong understanding of Application & Data Security
• Ability to align solutions with customer budgets, ROI and vendor licensing models
• Strong client engagement and presentation skills
• Able to independently manage presales cycles
• Proactive, analytical and commercially minded
• Strong collaboration skills across sales, delivery and partners
• Vendor certifications are an advantage

Preferred exposure to security solutions such as Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Symantec or similar technologies is an added advantage.
