Lathe Machine OperatorJob Responsibilities

• Operate conventional or CNC lathe machines to manufacture metal components according to drawings and specifications.
• Set up machines, select appropriate cutting tools, and adjust machine parameters.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Perform turning, facing, drilling, threading, boring, and other machining operations.
• Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Ensure products meet required quality and dimensional specifications.
• Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and basic maintenance.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Report machine problems, defects, or production issues to the supervisor.
• Complete production records and meet daily production targets.

Requirements

• Experience operating a lathe machine is preferred.
• Ability to read technical/engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of measuring tools and machining processes.
• Good attention to detail and quality.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work shifts or overtime when required.
• Relevant technical certificate or vocational training is an advantage.
