Manufacturing & Cost Accounting

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Are you an experienced finance professional with a strong background in manufacturing finance and cost accounting? We are looking for a Finance Manager to drive financial performance, optimize manufacturing costs, and lead a team of costing and budgeting executives.

The ideal candidate should possess strong financial and analytical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and Mandarin proficiency to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance analysis.

Manage manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing, Bills of Materials (BOM), inventory valuation, and variance analysis.

Analyze product profitability, manufacturing costs, and profit margins to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Support new product introduction (NPI) costing, pricing decisions, and capital investment evaluations.

Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), statutory requirements, and internal controls.

Coordinate internal and external audits while driving continuous improvements in financial processes.

Lead, coach, and develop a team of local costing and budgeting executives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cost efficiency and overall business performance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

️ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

️ 8–10 years of finance and accounting experience, including 3–5 years in a managerial role.

️ Strong experience in manufacturing finance and cost accounting.

️ Solid knowledge of BOM, standard costing, inventory valuation, budgeting, and forecasting.

️ Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.

️ Proficiency in Mandarin is required to facilitate communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

️ Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.

️ Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent are an advantage.
