Location: Somerset, Singapore
Working Days: Tuesday to Saturday, 5 days per week
Working Hours: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Monthly Salary: S$4,500 to S$6,500, depending on experience and capabilities

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Lead Teacher specialising in English exam preparation and school entry assessments. The successful candidate will provide personalised 1-to-1 academic support, assess students’ learning needs, and develop targeted preparation plans for entry into international and government schools.

This is a hands-on teaching role suited to an educator with strong English teaching, assessment and curriculum development skills, particularly in CEQ, AEIS-related English preparation or international school entry examinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct English assessments to identify students’ strengths, learning gaps and areas for improvement.

• Develop personalised study plans based on students’ proficiency levels and target examinations.

• Deliver targeted 1-to-1 lessons in English writing, speaking, comprehension and other relevant examination components.

• Prepare, mark and analyse mock assessments to identify errors and improve examination performance.

• Monitor student progress and communicate learning outcomes, concerns and recommended next steps to parents.

• Develop and refine examination preparation programmes, teaching materials, mock papers and marking standards.

• Collaborate with English bridging teachers, Mathematics teachers and education consultants to support students’ academic progression.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of teaching experience in Singapore is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in CEQ preparation, AEIS-related English preparation or international school entry preparation.

• Strong understanding of examination formats, assessment criteria and marking standards relevant to the candidate’s teaching specialisation.

• Ability to independently plan and deliver structured preparation programmes, from initial assessment to progress evaluation.

• Strong skills in identifying learning gaps, analysing examination errors and adapting teaching strategies.

• Excellent communication skills with students, parents and colleagues.

• Experience in curriculum development, mock assessment design and marking is an advantage.

• Mathematics examination preparation experience is an added advantage and will be assessed separately.
