Assistant Director (Cloud Platform) – Cloud Group, SAFC4DC

You are responsible to lead and oversee the team of subject matter experts to provide consultations on cloud architecture, craft implementation plans together with DSTA/DSO/vendors for complex interconnected, and ensure the seamless integration of new cloud technologies with existing systems. You also evaluate and recommend the adoption of new cloud services, tools, and architectures to drive innovation and realise the SAF Cloud strategy.

What you will do:

• Oversee the architecture and deployment of cloud solutions across multiple cloud platforms embedded with data platforms, including interconnectivity for hybrid cloud solutions
• Ensure compliance with prevailing IT security standards and adherence to best practices in Cloud Computing.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies, services, and tools before integration and continuously seeking technological solutions to optimise cloud resource utilisation, performance, and cost management.
• Guide continuous enhancements in existing cloud platforms
• Guide teams to achieve smooth integrations in support of operational outcomes.

Who we are looking for:

• Education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred). Advanced certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Nutanix Platform Expert) preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of networking, DevSecOps and systems engineering in the context of Enterprise IT would be advantageous.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and inspire a team of cloud technology professionals.
• Ability to collaborate with highly technical teams, present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and influence decision-making processes in the tenants’ architecture discussions.

• Providing a comprehensive framework for personnel in the centre to effectively navigate the complexity of multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments, with diverse technologies, tools, and configurations.
• Staying ahead of the rapidly evolving cloud technology landscape, including new services, architectures, and industry trends. Continuously evaluating and integrating emerging technologies into the cloud platforms while maintaining stability and compatibility.
• Prioritising system availability, operational stability and security continually innovating and enhancing the platform services, and optimising DevSecOps processes.
• Introducing new technologies and architectures while minimising disruptions to existing systems and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
