RETAIL ASSISTANT

We are seeking a friendly, customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team. You will be the face of our store, greeting shoppers, helping them find the right products, managing inventory, and ensuring the sales floor remains clean, organized, and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet every customer warmly, answer product questions, and provide tailored recommendations.

• Sales Support: Drive sales by highlighting promotions, cross-selling, and encouraging sign-ups for store loyalty or membership programs.

• Cash Handling & POS: Operate the cash register, process cash, card, and digital transactions, and handle returns or exchanges accurately.

• Inventory & Stock Management: Unpack stock deliveries, replenish shelves, price items, and assist with periodic inventory counts.

• Store Maintenance & Displays: Keep the shop floor neat, clean up spills or clutter, and help set up visual merchandising or promotional displays.

• Problem Solving: Resolve minor customer complaints calmly and professionally, escalating to a supervisor only when necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Previous retail, cash-handling, or customer service experience preferred (though entry-level applicants with strong interpersonal skills are welcome).

• Communication: Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.

• Customer-Centric Attitude: Patience, empathy, and a positive, upbeat demeanor.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts and occasionally lift or move merchandise.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
