Role Description The Sales Application Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bayan Lepas. This position is responsible for working closely with customers to understand their technical and application requirements, proposing suitable motion and aluminum profile solutions, and preparing quotations and project proposals. Day-to-day tasks include providing pre- and post-sales technical support, coordinating with engineering and fabrication teams, and conducting product demonstrations or presentations. The role also involves managing customer inquiries, supporting project execution through technical clarification, and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients. The Sales Application Engineer contributes to sales growth by identifying opportunities, offering optimized solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.

Qualifications

• Strong Sales Engineering and Sales skills to identify opportunities, develop proposals, and close projects.
• Technical Support experience to assist customers with solution selection, troubleshooting, and after-sales service.
• Background in Electrical Engineering to understand and apply motion and automation system requirements.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering to support structural design, aluminum profile applications, and fabrication considerations.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in industrial automation, motion control, or related fields is an advantage.
• Proficiency with CAD or similar design tools and basic project coordination skills is beneficial.
• Diploma or degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related discipline) or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to work on-site with customers and internal teams.
