Role Description

Deliver a welcoming shopping experience, help customers choose suitable products, and support daily store operations. Contribute to sales performance through product knowledge, attentive service, and effective merchandising, with supervisory responsibilities where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, understand their needs, and provide accurate product information and recommendations.
• Demonstrate products and explain relevant features, pricing, promotions, and after-sales services.
• Support store sales targets through appropriate product recommendations and complementary purchases.
• Process purchases, exchanges, and returns accurately according to store policies.
• Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
• Receive deliveries, replenish stock, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Maintain attractive product displays, clear price labels, and a clean, organized sales floor.
• Support stock counts and follow procedures to reduce stock loss and damage.
• Follow cash handling, store security, and workplace safety procedures.
• Coordinate with colleagues to maintain service standards during busy periods.
• Share customer feedback and product demand insights with store management.
• For supervisory roles, coordinate shifts, allocate tasks, coach team members, and oversee opening and closing procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to understand customer needs and explain products clearly.
• Basic numeracy and confidence handling payments and sales transactions.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing store priorities.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• Ability to carry out store duties, with reasonable accommodations where needed.
• Relevant retail, hospitality, or customer service experience; entry-level candidates may be considered for associate roles.
• For supervisory roles, experience coordinating store operations, guiding colleagues, and resolving customer issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management tools.
• Product knowledge relevant to the store’s merchandise.
• Experience supporting visual merchandising, loyalty programs, or online order collection.
• Additional language skills relevant to the customer base.
