Responsibility

a) Server Administration & Maintenance

• Manage, monitor, and maintain physical and virtual server infrastructure (Windows/Linux).
• Perform regular system health checks, patch management, updates, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of server systems across production and development environments.

b) Deployment & Configuration

• Plan and execute server installations, configurations, and upgrades based on business needs.
• Configure and maintain server roles and features such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Services, etc.
• Support deployment of virtual machines (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and optimize virtual environments.

c) Security & Backup

• Implement and maintain server security standards, including access control, firewall settings, and antivirus solutions.
• Ensure regular and reliable server backups, perform recovery tests, and support disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Monitor for vulnerabilities and apply necessary patches or mitigations.

d) Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Monitor server performance metrics and proactively address system bottlenecks or failures.

• Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues (hardware, software, OS) in a timely manner.
• Work with vendors and support teams for escalated issues and critical incidents.

e) Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain detailed documentation for server configurations, architecture, procedures, and asset inventory.
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies, audit requirements, and ISO standards.

f) Project & Team Collaboration

• Participate in infrastructure projects, including migrations, system upgrades, and integration initiatives.
• Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure smooth infrastructure operations.
• Provide technical support and knowledge sharing to junior staff or other team members.

g) Ad-hoc Duties

• Perform other tasks as assigned by Management, including support for special projects and operational requirements

Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in server administration and infrastructure management.
• Strong hands-on experience in Windows Server, Linux, VMware and Hyper-V environments.
• Good knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and File Services.
• Experience in server installation, configuration, maintenance, patching and troubleshooting.
• Familiar with server security, backup solutions, disaster recovery (DR) and system recovery.
• Experience in server migration, infrastructure upgrades and deployment projects.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with technical teams.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: RM7,500.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
