Our client is MNC in Oil and Gas Industry. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a
Accountant
to be part of their team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West.
Working Location: West Singapore (Company-provided door-to-door transport)
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Employment Type: Yearly renewable contract
Responsibilities of Accountant:
Apply knowledge of the company's financial systems, accounting processes, internal controls, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
Develop a good understanding of the company's organisational structure, core business operations and industry.
Prepare and analyse complex accounting reports, financial statements and supporting schedules using relevant accounting systems and spreadsheets.
Prepare and post journal entries for complex accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
Review and monitor financial transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness and timely processing.
Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complex accounting discrepancies and issues while ensuring compliance with internal control procedures.
Prepare, analyse and distribute financial reports, including monthly financial results, budget variances and related explanations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on finance-related projects and initiatives, while developing project coordination and management capabilities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in General Ledger (GL)
accounting.
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment or manufacturing accounting will be an added advantage.
Familiarity with SAP
or other accounting/ERP systems.
