JOB SUMMARY

The senior engineer is responsible for leading and coordinating engineering activities to ensure manufacturing processes, equipment and systems operates efficiently.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for leading equipment set up, commissioning, preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement activities to ensure equipment safety.

· Drives continuous improvement, minimizes equipment downtime, and supports production targets while ensuring compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations

· Develop and review mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation system designs, as applicable

· Work with suppliers and cross-functional teams to develop customized equipment, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and automation solutions.

· Review maintenance procedures, inspection checklists, lubrication schedules, and equipment servicing standards

· Monitor spare-parts availability and establish minimum and maximum stock levels for critical components.

AUTHORITY

· Approve any equipment parameter changes and establish limits

· Obtain and raise purchase requisitions for spare parts and new tools/equipment’s

· Manage OT and leave form for technicians and engineers and manage work patterns

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or equivalent

· Minimum 5 years relevant experience in manufacturing environment

· Proven experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis and continuous improvement

JOB RELATED SKILLS

· Strong knowledge in equipment set up, commissioning, maintenance and calibration

· Proficient in root cause analysis tools such as 5 WHY, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA and 8D methodology

· Ability to analyse technical data and use problem solving methodologies to performance

· Proficient in preparing technical reports, and engineering documents

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
