Our Client is a global Swiss mechatronics company (founded in 1892) specializing in high-precision engineering such as drip-free water connectors and rugged electrical plugs that ensure safe maintenance, zero chip damage, and maximum energy efficiency for modern AI data centers which rely on specialized liquid-cooling and high-power infrastructure to prevent overheating under massive electrical loads.

This leadership role drives the commercial growth of these rapidly expanding, high-demand technologies.

Role Profile: Head of Data Centre (Electrical & Cooling Systems)

Reporting To: Vice President – General Industry (GI)

Location: China or Taiwan (with up to 50% regional mobility)

Role Summary: A strategic blend of P&L leadership, commercial growth, and deep technical fluency. This role demands heavy ownership of financial performance, market expansion, and enterprise-level execution across the data center ecosystem.

Core Mandate & Responsibilities

P&L & Business Strategy: Take complete ownership of the data center division’s financial performance, driving profitability, cost efficiency, value creation, and long-term market growth strategy.

Commercial Leadership: Spearhead high-stakes enterprise solution selling, strategic account management, and complex contract negotiations.

Team Management: Provide direct leadership and mentorship to Key Account Managers (KAMs) and Field Sales Engineers (FSEs), blending high-level strategic vision with hands-on execution.

Ecosystem Engagement: Cultivate executive relationships across key market segments, including Hyperscalers, Server & Thermal OEMs, Colocation Providers, and EPC / Electrical Integrators.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

1. Education & Experience

MBA or graduate degree in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related technical field.

2. 5 to 10 years of dedicated sales and marketing experience within the data center sector.

3. Technical & Market Expertise

Electrical & Infrastructure Fluency: Deep understanding of MV/LV power distribution, UPS systems, backup generators, advanced cooling technologies, and renewable or BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) integration.

4. Ecosystem Insight: Working knowledge of major hyperscalers, colocation providers, and thermal OEM blueprints.

5. Leadership & Skills

6. Language Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Mandarin (verbal and written).

7. Digital & Analytical Tools: Proficiency in modern CRM and BI platforms (such as Salesforce, Dynamics 365, and Qlik Sense).
