Mainly responsible for managing the mainframe hardware configuration, installing and customizing the mainframe operating system.

• Z/OS operation
• Z/OS support including problem analysis and resolution
• Provide technical support of the mainframe infrastructure to provide high quality customer service and meet SLA expectations.
• Collaborate and liaise with other units and serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert.
• Significant involvement in upgrade of operating systems to new release
• Significant involvement in upgrade of third party software products to new releases
• Contribute to research and development projects as require
• Very familiar and Able to perform new IODF configuration
• Familiar with WLM configuration and settings
• Familiar with zOS unix administration and configuration

Working Knowledge of:

Z/OS Operation, JES2 Operation and Internals, Z/OS Security (RACF), Z/OS Networking (VTAM, TCPIP), Z/OS Scheduling, Automation, SMP/E Software, WLM, JCL, GRS, VSAM, TSO, 3rd Party Software, Assembler, Catalog Maintenance
