Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Halal Officer to oversee and maintain our company's Halal Management System, ensuring compliance with Halal requirements and relevant regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the company's Halal certification.
Ensure compliance with MUIS Halal requirements, GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
Liaise with MUIS, certification bodies, and relevant authorities on Halal-related matters.
Prepare, maintain, and update Halal documentation, records, and SOPs.
Conduct internal Halal audits and coordinate external audits.
Train employees on Halal policies, procedures, and best practices.
Investigate and resolve Halal non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
Perform quality control inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
Work closely with Production, QA, QC, and Purchasing teams to ensure Halal compliance throughout the manufacturing process.
Support other quality assurance and regulatory activities as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field.
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in Halal compliance or food manufacturing.
Prior experience in Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), or Halal certification within the food, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical industry is an advantage.
Knowledge of MUIS Halal Certification requirements.
Possession of a
Halal Competency Assessment (HCA) Certificate is preferred
.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
