Job Summary

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide technical support and application expertise for machine vision products. This role will also provide technical guidance to junior engineers and may require frequent domestic and international travel to support customers and projects.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, providing both remote and on-site technical support.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, escalating complex cases with clear technical analysis and recommendations.
• Perform system testing, and customer training.
• Conduct application testing, technical evaluations, and proof-of-concept (POC) trials.
• Prepare technical documentation, service reports, and other relevant support materials.
• Collaborate with cross-regional teams to resolve customer issues and support projects effectively.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required to provide customer and project support.
• Lead and mentor junior technical support engineers, providing technical guidance and support on customer issues.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in machine vision, industrial automation, technical support, field service engineering, or a related technical role.
• Solid understanding of machine vision fundamentals, including cameras, lenses, lighting, image sensors, and image processing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with industrial cameras, vision lighting, lenses, and machine vision software.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as GigE Vision, USB3 Vision, Camera Link, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or similar protocols is an advantage.
• Ability to analyze customer applications and recommend suitable machine vision solutions.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers and internal teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a structured approach to troubleshooting.
• Customer-focused mindset with a proactive, responsible, and service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• Willingness to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.
