Job Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in manufacturing purchasing, sourcing, or procurement-related roles.

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and supply chain operations.

• Experience in cost analysis, negotiation, and supplier development.

• Familiar with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

• Good communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.

• Able to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.

• Good command of English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to liaise with overseas and Mandarin-speaking suppliers.

• Responsible, proactive, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in electronics, EMS, industrial, or manufacturing environment is an advantage.

• Familiar with international sourcing and Malaysia import/export processes.

• Experience in NPI / project sourcing is preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and develop new suppliers based on project and business requirements.

• Conduct supplier audits and assessments, including technical, quality, and production capability evaluations.

• Build and maintain Approved Vendor List (AVL).

• Perform cost analysis and develop cost models for materials, processes, and manufacturing.

• Lead price negotiations and commercial discussions to achieve cost reduction targets.

• Support cost-saving initiatives through alternative materials, process improvements, and sourcing strategies.

• Issue Purchase Orders (PO) and follow up on delivery schedules to ensure on-time supply.

• Coordinate closely with planning, production, warehouse, and engineering teams to resolve material shortages and urgent supply issues.

• Manage supplier performance in terms of Quality, Cost, Delivery, Service, and Technology (QCDST).

• Handle supplier quality issues, delivery delays, and claims management.

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) activities.

• Responsible for sourcing, sample follow-up, quotation comparison, and initial pricing for new projects.

• Participate in reviewing procurement contracts, technical agreements, and NDA documentation.

• Monitor market trends, material pricing, supplier developments, and supply chain risks.

• Handle Malaysia procurement-related activities including:

  • Procurement order processing

  • Import/export and duty exemption application follow-up

  • Supplier reconciliation

  • Delivery tracking

  • Other purchasing-related coordination tasks
