Role Description The Compliance Manager – Onboarding is a full-time, hybrid role based in Singapore, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. This role oversees the end-to-end onboarding of new clients, ensuring all Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and other regulatory requirements are met before accounts are activated. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing client documentation, performing risk assessments, maintaining due diligence records, and monitoring adherence to internal policies and applicable regulations. The role collaborates closely with operations, and product teams to improve onboarding workflows, implement process enhancements, and resolve compliance-related issues promptly. The Compliance Manager also helps prepare internal reports, supports regulatory audits, and contributes to the development and refinement of compliance frameworks and training materials.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks, including KYC, AML, CFT, and sanctions screening relevant to digital assets and financial services.
  • Experience in client onboarding, due diligence, and risk assessment within a fintech, financial institution, or crypto-related company.
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulations and internal policies, and to design and maintain practical onboarding procedures and controls.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing client information.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and explain compliance requirements clearly to clients.
  • Proficiency with compliance and onboarding tools, data management systems, and basic Excel or similar reporting software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field; professional certifications in compliance (e.g., CAMS, ICA) are an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple onboarding cases, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and evolving regulatory environment.
  • Prior experience in Singapore regulatory landscape (e.g., MAS guidelines) is preferred.
