Get to Know the Team

The People Science team is part of Grab's Office of Organisational Capabilities. They use people data, research, and AI to help Grabbers, managers, People teams, and business leaders understand workforce trends. Additionally, they use these tools to help leaders make informed decisions. The team combines qualitative and quantitative research with AI-enabled tools to turn findings into practical insights and actions.

Get to Know the Role

As a People Research Scientist Intern, you will apply research methods, quantitative analysis, and AI-enabled tools to questions about people and organisations.

You will contribute to research and workflow automation, evaluate People programmes, and help translate evidence into useful insights for People and business leaders. This is a full-time, onsite internship at Grab's One North office in Singapore.

You will report to Head, People Science, and gain practical experience across applied research, people analytics, and AI-supported workflows.

If this work interests you, we encourage you to apply.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • You will help build an organisational listening and action engine using employee survey, behavioural, and operational data to diagnose organizational health and workforce trends.
  • You will design and test AI-enabled workflows or agents that support research, data analysis, hypothesis evaluation, and insight generation, and review their outputs for accuracy and limitations.
  • You will conduct qualitative and quantitative research using methods such as surveys, interviews, literature reviews, and statistical analysis.
  • You will formulate research hypotheses and evaluate People programmes using experimental, quasi-experimental, or econometric methods.
  • You will collaborate with senior team members to translate empirical research and analytics into clear, impactful recommendations for your team.
  • You will contribute to self-service tools, AI agents, or data products that help non-technical users access and apply people insights.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD programme in Organisational Psychology, Business Analytics, Organisational Behaviour, Economics, or related field.
  • You will have practical knowledge of research design and be able to select appropriate methods for qualitative or quantitative questions.

  • You will use at least one analytical language -SQL, Python, or R - to conduct and interpret analysis.
  • You will synthesise complex research or data into clear written findings and practical recommendations for different audiences.
  • You have experience engaging with AI tools and latest technologies to enhance productivity, improve research and analysis workflows, and contribute new ideas, with awareness of responsible use, privacy, and bias.
