Scientist-Manufacturing Science & Technology Laboratory

(9 month contract)

Job Purpose:

The incumbent will provide laboratory and technical support for technology transfer, process optimization, investigational studies, and continuous improvement activities within the Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) laboratory.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Execute laboratory studies in accordance with approved protocols and procedures. 

• Support upstream, downstream, analytical, and/or pilot-scale activities as assigned. 

• Perform investigative testing to support deviation investigation.

• Contribute to and maintain lab instructions, evaluate new equipment and technologies.

• Support qualification of lab equipment with accompanying change control, documentation, schedule and maintenance. 

• Support procurement and inventory management of chemicals and consumables for lab studies.

• Comply with applicable Good Practices (GxP) regulations, Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs), Health Safety Environment (HSE) & other client’s organization guidelines in the laboratory.

• Maintain up-to-date documentation of laboratory work carried out including documentation storage and archiving.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (BSc or MSc) in Chemistry, Biologics, Pharma / Chemical engineering or equivalent.

• At least 2 years of relevant laboratory or manufacturing experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

• Awareness for safe handling of chemicals, potentially dangerous materials and equipment.

• Good knowledge of laboratory and/or technical tools.

• Good presentation & communication skills
