Business Development Director – F&B / Restaurant

Job Summary

Lead growth strategy and expand F&B portfolio by scaling restaurant concepts, establishing strategic partnerships, exploring new revenue channels, and securing prime real estate for multi-unit expansion.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and secure high-traffic commercial real estate and prime locations for new restaurant openings, flagship outlets, and cloud kitchens to drive expansion.
• Develop and execute growth initiatives including B2B corporate catering, event bookings, retail food products, and optimize online delivery ecosystems to increase revenue streams.
• Build and maintain high-value corporate partnerships with financial institutions, lifestyle brands, mall management teams, and digital platforms to enhance customer acquisition.
• Explore franchising, licensing, or joint venture opportunities to scale the brand locally and regionally.
• Collaborate with culinary, marketing, and operations teams to align operational capabilities with business growth strategies and revenue targets.
• Monitor profit and loss statements, sales targets, return on investment (ROI) for growth projects, and unit economics across all locations to ensure financial health.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in Business Development, Corporate Strategy, or Commercial Operations within the F&B, hospitality, or retail chain industry.
• Proven success in scaling restaurant concepts, securing prime commercial leases, and launching new revenue channels.
• Established network with property developers, landlords, commercial real estate agents, suppliers, and corporate partners.
• Strong financial acumen including P&L management, financial modeling, and pricing strategies.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and executive presentation skills.
• Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and self-driven with a passion for food and hospitality.
