Job Summary

As Senior Assistant Director, Employee Listening & Culture, you will play a pivotal role in a newly established team dedicated to defining, diagnosing, and enhancing organisational health, workplace culture, and employee sentiment across our research institutes and corporate entities. As a valued member of the People & Culture team, you will design and deploy enterprise-wide listening tools, translate qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights, and implement interventions that strengthen organisational health and activate shared values.

Key Responsibilities

Organisational Diagnostics & Employee Listening

  • Design, implement, and govern A*STAR’s continuous Employee Listening Ecosystem, including pulse checks, organisational health surveys, lifecycle feedback, focus groups, and real-time sentiment tracking.
  • Conduct enterprise-wide culture and organisational health assessments using established OD and/or organisational psychology frameworks to identify systemic strengths and areas for growth, while leveraging AI-enabled tools.

Culture Activation & Enterprise Alignment

  • Design and execute targeted culture activation campaigns and interventions to translate organisational values and strategic priorities into behavioural expectations, culture principles, and workplace habits across diverse scientific and corporate units.
  • Establish measurement frameworks, key performance indicators (KPIs), and dashboards to monitor employee sentiment and evaluate the long-term impact of culture initiatives.

Organisational Health & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Collaborate with colleagues across functions (e.g. communications, L&D, business partnership) to ensure alignment and consistent messaging across culture touchpoints.
  • Partner with business unit leaders to communicate diagnostic insights, address engagement gaps, and foster a healthy organisational climate.
  • Manage multiple project workstreams concurrently, ensuring high quality, timeliness, and alignment with enterprise priorities.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in HR, Organisation Development, Organisational Psychology, or Employee Engagement.
  • Proven track record in designing and running enterprise engagement surveys, diagnostic assessments, or culture initiatives.
  • Strong foundation in survey design, focus group facilitation, and behavioural science.

All new hires are appointed on a 3-year renewable contract in the first instance.
