Job Description: Project Engineer (AV & UC Systems)

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Project Engineer (AV & UC Systems) to oversee and support technical operations across multiple project sites in Singapore and regionally across APAC.

The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Audio Visual (AV) system diagnostics, hands-on integration troubleshooting, and a solid understanding of Unified Communications (UC) technology.

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring system reliability, driving post-installation maintenance, and managing technical escalation processes with clients, vendors, and regional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Post-Sale & Maintenance Support:

  • Deliver high-quality post-sale support and maintenance services to clients to maximize system uptime and customer satisfaction.

  • Plan, schedule, and perform scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities on-site and remotely.

  • Take ownership of identifying, logging, and executing corrective maintenance actions upon client authorization.

• Diagnostics & System Troubleshooting:

  • Perform systematic remote and on-site diagnostics to detect, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues within integrated AV and Video Conferencing (VC) setups.

  • Provide ongoing technical assistance, firmware updates, and system re-configurations.

• Vendor & SLA Management:

  • Coordinate with end-users, equipment suppliers, and hardware vendors to ensure rapid resolution of technical faults within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Oversee Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) procedures and component replacements.

  • Evaluate fault severity; manage technical escalations directly with manufacturers and equipment principals when challenges exceed internal capacity.

• Documentation & Handover:

  • Generate clear, prompt, and thoroughly documented service and diagnostic reports following every maintenance or site engagement.

  • Assist in maintaining and updating single-line schematics, Bills of Materials (BOM), and site-as-built documentation based on field findings.

  • Conduct post-commissioning handover, develop client-facing operational guides, and lead end-user training sessions for smoothly functioning systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education:

  • NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Audio Visual, Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in AV system operations, field engineering, installation, or maintenance.

• Product Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with leading AV & UC products and platforms, including Microsoft Teams Rooms , Logitech & Cisco etc

• Technical Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of core AV/IT technologies and networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, Dante, AVB, SDVoE, H.264, H.323, MPEG, EDID, HDCP).

  • Ability to read and interpret AV single-line diagrams and system schematics.
