Japanese-Speaking Tour Operations

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Japanese-speaking travel professional to join a leading international travel organization in Malaysia. This role is responsible for coordinating and managing tour operations for Japanese group tours and FIT (Free Independent Travelers), working closely with local suppliers, overseas offices, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless travel experiences.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong background in tourism, hospitality, airlines, or destination management who are looking to advance their career in a dynamic and international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage operations for Japanese group tours and FIT travelers
• Coordinate reservations and arrangements with local operators, hotels, restaurants, and suppliers
• Handle school visit arrangements and media/TV-related projects
• Prepare quotations and proposals for itinerary changes and special requests
• Collaborate with Japan-based sales offices and internal teams
• Support large-scale group tours and special projects
• Conduct site inspections and provide on-site operational support when required
• Participate in the emergency contact rotation and handle urgent travel-related issues outside office hours
• Perform other duties assigned by management

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or above

Native-level Japanese or equivalent proficiency

English proficiency at business conversational level or above (B2+)

Experience in one of the following industries:

• Travel Agency
• Tour Operator / Destination Management Company
• Airline
• Hotel / Hospitality
• Tourism-related industry

Strong hospitality mindset and customer service orientation

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Willingness to support emergency situations outside regular working hours

Valid driver's license is an advantage
