About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate enterprise level cloud platform. In this role, you will own the Azure platform end to end - environments, networking, security, deployments, observability, and cost - ensuring it is secure, reliable, and scalable.
ROLE
Own the design, build, and operations of a production-grade Azure platform across development, UAT, and production environments. Automate infrastructure and deployments end to end, set platform standards, and keep the platform secure, observable, and cost-efficient.
Job Responsibilities
- Provision and manage Azure infrastructure across dev, UAT, and production through infrastructure as code
- Operate application hosting - App Service, Azure Functions, Container Registry, and AKS
- Administer Azure Databricks - workspaces, Unity Catalog, access connectors, compute policies, permissions
- Design and secure networking - VNets, private endpoints, private DNS, network security groups
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments, with environment promotion and approvals
- Own identity, secrets, and security controls - Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault, Azure Policy - and support compliance for regulated healthcare data
- Run observability - Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, dashboards, alerting - and lead root-cause analysis of production issues
- Drive FinOps - cost visibility, budgets, right-sizing, and optimisation
- Drive engineering excellence - Agile delivery, change management, runbooks, documentation
PRODUCT MINDSET
Treat the cloud platform as a long-lived internal product, not a project:
- Own outcomes across the full lifecycle - design, delivery, operations, iteration
- Optimise for security, reliability, and scalability with measurable SLAs and cost targets
- Prioritise based on user value (application and data teams as customers)
- Automate repeatable work; measure reliability, deployment frequency, and cost continuously
Job Requirements
- 3–5 years in cloud, platform, or DevOps engineering with hands-on production Azure experience
- Strong infrastructure-as-code skills with any mainstream IaC tool
- Azure compute and hosting - App Service, Azure Functions, Container Registry, AKS
- Azure Databricks administration - workspaces, Unity Catalog, identity and access
- Azure networking and security - VNets, private endpoints, DNS, Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault
- CI/CD pipeline design and operation with any toolchain
- Observability - Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, alerting
- Scripting for automation (Bash, PowerShell, or Python)
- Agile, change management, and documentation best practices as everyday habits
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
GOOD-TO-HAVE
- Azure DevOps pipelines
- Data security and compliance - encryption (at-rest/in-transit), PII handling, GDPR/PDPA
- FinOps practices - cost allocation, budgets, reservations, right-sizing
- Databricks Apps deployment and operations
