Every ocean freight tender has a moment when a customer’s needs, the market and our margins all have to line up in one competitive offer. In this role, you are the person who makes that happen.

At Kuehne+Nagel, our Global Sea Logistics team moves cargo across the world’s trade lanes, and pricing is where deals are won or lost. As our Global Sea Logistics Pricing Specialist in Singapore, you will turn complex data into pricing packages that customers want and the business can stand behind.

What Your Days Will Look Like

You will be the hub of our global pricing process. One day you may be pulling apart a large tender to understand a customer’s special requirements. The next you may be building a pricing model with Trade Managers and Sales to sharpen an offer, or answering an RFQ from a KN office on the other side of the world.

• Coordinate pricing for global ocean freight tenders, making sure submissions are accurate and on time.
• Work with Sea Logistics departments and Trade Managers to keep our offers competitive.
• Back up Key Account Managers and Sales from first draft to post-tender review, including follow-up, feedback and analysis.
• Handle individual RFQ inquiries and support KN offices.
• Look after bunker formulas and index-based rate adjustments.
• Pull data from multiple sources into pricing models that show margin and total spend, so management can make confident decisions.
  
  

Who We’d Love To Meet

You are analytical, comfortable with numbers, and calm when a deadline is close. You like finding the story in the data and explaining it clearly to the people who need to act on it.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Shipping or Logistics.
• 5–10 years’ experience in the business.
• Good knowledge of freight forwarding, import and export, LCL and FCL.
• Solid MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Fluent English.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to build models and advise decision-makers.
• Good at influencing, negotiating and problem-solving to protect profitability and support revenue.
• A confident communicator who builds relationships easily and works well with others.
• Energy and resilience when things get busy.
