Responsibilities

Technical Sales & Solution Design

• You will prepare clear technical proposals and quotations that align with customer production constraints and budgets.
• Lead product demonstrations and pilot installations to validate fit and performance on site.
• Convert customer requirements into system specifications and coordinate custom requests with engineering.
• Keep product knowledge current so you can answer technical questions and compare alternatives confidently.

Account & Project Management

• Manage the sales pipeline from lead qualification to contract signing and keep records up to date in our CRM.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and logistics to meet agreed delivery timelines.
• Prepare, present and follow up commercial offers with clear pricing, terms and technical scope.
• Provide regular status updates to customers and internal stakeholders to keep projects on track.

Operations & Team Leadership

• Support after-sales activities by overseeing installations, performing basic troubleshooting, and handing over to service teams.
• Gather customer feedback and recommend product or process improvements that reduce issues and shorten sales cycles.
• Coach junior sales engineers and help build sales playbooks and technical collateral.
• Maintain safety and quality standards during demonstrations and factory work.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field is preferred.
• Around 2 years of combined technical sales or field engineering experience with industrial equipment or manufacturing technology.
• Proven experience engaging with production managers, OEMs, or machine shops is highly valued.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and factories within Malaysia as required.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Demonstrated technical sales ability, including writing proposals and preparing quotations.
• Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar for pipeline and activity management.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand basic automation integration points.
• Comfortable running product demonstrations and performing basic system checks during site visits.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts in plain language to both buyers and engineers.
• Organised and reliable, able to manage multiple accounts and follow tasks through to completion.
• Customer-focused with the patience to support both pre-sales and after-sales needs.
• A proactive learner who stays curious about product capabilities and industry trends.
