The Role

We are looking for an Insurance Operations Specialist to support and improve insurance operations across policy, claims and related processes.

This role is suited for someone with strong insurance operations knowledge who understands how insurance processes work end-to-end and can identify opportunities to improve, standardise and automate them.

You will work closely with business, operations, technology and AI teams to translate insurance workflows and requirements into efficient operational processes and AI-enabled solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support day-to-day insurance operational processes across policy administration, claims and related activities.
• Review and validate insurance documents, policy information, claims data and supporting documentation.
• Handle operational processing accurately and within agreed service levels.
• Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, control weaknesses and opportunities for automation.
• Document insurance workflows, business rules, operating procedures and exception scenarios.
• Work with technology and AI teams to translate insurance requirements into functional and operational requirements.
• Support the design, testing and implementation of AI-enabled insurance workflows and automation solutions.
• Perform data and transaction validation to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with business rules.
• Investigate operational exceptions and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Support UAT, process testing and validation of new insurance solutions.
• Maintain process documentation, SOPs, control checklists and operational guidelines.
• Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on insurance products, operational practices, regulatory requirements and industry developments.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Finance, Business, Risk Management or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in insurance operations, preferably within an insurer, reinsurer, insurance broker, TPA or financial services organisation.
• Good understanding of insurance operations and end-to-end insurance processes.
• Experience in areas such as policy administration, claims processing, underwriting support, policy servicing or insurance documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and operational risks.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into clear workflows and requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working with technology and digital transformation teams.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and process documentation tools.

Advantageous

• Experience working on insurance transformation, process improvement or automation projects.
• Exposure to AI, RPA, workflow automation or digital insurance platforms.
• Experience with insurance claims systems, policy administration systems or workflow platforms.
• Knowledge of insurance regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Experience in documenting business requirements, process maps or UAT test scenarios.
• Familiarity with data analysis and operational reporting.
