Oaks Coffee Co. is looking for a Cook to join our kitchen team.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced café kitchen and takes pride in preparing food that is consistent, well-presented and made to our standards.
What you’ll be doing
Prepare and cook food according to our recipes and standards
Assist with daily mise en place and food preparation
Ensure food is prepared and served efficiently during service
Maintain consistency in taste, portioning and presentation
Keep your workstation clean, organised and well-stocked
Follow proper food hygiene and safety practices
Assist with receiving, storing and organising ingredients
Monitor stock levels and minimise food wastage
Assist with opening and closing duties
Support the kitchen team with general day-to-day operations
Work closely with the Chef and service team to ensure smooth operations
What we’re looking for
Previous kitchen or café experience preferred
Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking
Able to work efficiently during busy service periods
Good attention to detail and consistency
Responsible, punctual and willing to learn
Able to work well independently and as part of a team
Positive attitude and good work ethic
Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
