Location: Malaysia

Region: Asia Pacific

Type: Full-time

Reports to: Head of Global Alliances

The opportunity

SCPMI is an independent global certification body for the procurement and supply chain profession — and we are looking for a Regional Director to lead our growth across Asia Pacific.

This is a senior leadership mandate with real ownership. You will lead SCPMI's strategy, partnerships and professional presence in your region; grow the network of training partners and corporate relationships that carry our certifications to market; and strengthen SCPMI's position as a regional benchmark for professional excellence. You will have genuine ownership, direct access to leadership, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.

This is a build from the ground up. Asia Pacific is our newest region and you will shape how SCPMI enters and grows across it.

If you are a partnership-builder and commercial leader who knows how to grow a market, this role is for you.

Your key responsibilities

Grow and strengthen the partner network

You will own the growth of SCPMI's regional network of Authorised Partners (APs) the channel through which our certifications reach professionals across the region.

  • Identify, recruit and onboard high-quality organisations as Authorised Partners, assessing applicants against SCPMI's criteria and recommending them for approval.
  • Manage the full partner lifecycle pipeline, enablement, performance and renewal against clear growth targets.
  • Enable partners with the tools, training and support they need to deliver and sell SCPMI certifications successfully.

Secure corporate and institutional partnerships

You will open doors at the enterprise level and embed SCPMI into the way organisations build and certify talent.

  • Develop corporate tie-ups and enterprise accounts for in-company certification, assessment and capability programs.
  • Build a pipeline across priority sectors and negotiate framework, volume and multi-year agreements.
  • Establish university, government and industry-body partnerships that extend SCPMI's reach and recognition.

Drive regional growth and performance

You will carry the commercial agenda for the region and be accountable for its results.

  • Own the regional revenue target across certifications, corporate programs and membership.
  • Develop and execute the regional go-to-market and growth strategy.
  • Build and convert the regional pipeline, and forecast and report on performance to leadership.

Represent and build the SCPMI brand

  • Act as SCPMI's senior ambassador at conferences, industry events, webinars and professional forums.
  • Build SCPMI's visibility and thought-leadership position, and bring market intelligence back to inform global strategy.

Safeguard certification quality and integrity

As a certification body, our credibility is our currency. You will champion the standards that protect it.

  • Ensure certification, examination and assessment activities in the region meet SCPMI standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Uphold the impartiality and integrity of the certification process and manage conflicts of interest. Certification decisions are made independently of commercial activity and do not sit with this role.

Lead the regional team and operations

  • Build, lead and develop the regional team as the region scales.
  • Manage regional operations, budget and compliance with SCPMI policies and local regulations.

Skills and attributes for success

  • A natural relationship-builder and credible negotiator who closes.
  • Commercially sharp, target-owning and strategic, with a bias for execution.
  • A confident senior presence with corporate leaders, partners, academics and government.
  • A collaborative leader who builds and motivates high-performing teams.
  • Grounded in integrity, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to quality and impartiality.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 10+ years' experience in business development, partnerships or regional leadership.
  • Functional experience within supply chain and/or logistics.
  • A proven track record of building and scaling channel or partner networks (partner, franchise or reseller models).
  • Demonstrated success securing corporate and enterprise B2B partnerships and closing multi-stakeholder deals.
  • A strong understanding of the regional market and its training, certification or supply chain and procurement landscape.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
  • A bachelor's degree; a master's or MBA is preferred.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • An established network across corporates, training providers, universities and industry bodies in the region.
  • Familiarity with professional certification and accreditation practice (e.g. ISO/IEC 17024).
  • Experience in the professional certification, training or education sector.

We have described the ideal profile, including where the role would preferably be based. If you are a strong fit but differ from it, we would still encourage you to apply.

What we look for

We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader someone who sees opportunity others have overlooked and knows how to open it. You take ownership, you move partnerships from first meeting to signed agreement, and you carry SCPMI's name with the credibility and integrity our profession demands. In return, you will help shape a global institution and the future of the profession it serves.

What SCPMI offers

  • A senior leadership role with real ownership of a region and its strategy.
  • The opportunity to grow a network, a market and a brand across your region.
  • Direct access to leadership and a voice in global direction.
  • A competitive package with performance-based incentives. The good faith estimated range for On Target Earnings (OTE) for this position is $70,000 - $80,000, split approximately 70% base salary and 30% performance-related. The performance-related element is earned against regional targets agreed on appointment.
