Job purpose

To assist the Florist Designer in the daily floral work, including preparing arrangements, caring for flowers and keeping supplies and the workshop in good order. The role also supports the setup of floral décor for events and customer orders, working within a friendly and supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Florist Designer to design and prepare floral arrangements, bouquets and displays
• Receive, clean, cut and condition flowers and foliage to keep them fresh
• Keep track of flowers and supplies, and inform the designer when stock is low
• Keep the workshop clean, tidy and organised
• Help with delivery, setup and dismantling of floral décor at events
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a florist
• Good sense of floral design and colour, with knowledge of flower types and care
• Able to follow instructions and work fast during busy event periods
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry décor items
