Quantitative Researcher – Mathematics / Statistics / Machine Learning

We are partnering with a well-funded, early-stage quantitative research and technology firm building a sophisticated predictive modelling platform from the ground up.

The business is assembling a small, highly talented research team, with a particular interest in exceptional individuals from outside financial services.

The Opportunity

• Research and develop predictive models using advanced mathematics, statistics and machine learning.
• Work across areas including optimisation, deep learning, time-series analysis, probabilistic modelling and statistical inference.
• Collaborate with engineers to translate research ideas into practical applications.
• Work with large-scale datasets and significant computational resources.

Ideal Background

• Exceptional BSc, MSc or PhD graduates in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, ML, Physics, Operations Research or related disciplines.
• Outstanding academic achievements, including IMO (International Mathematical Olympiad) medals, top university mathematics competition results (e.g. Putnam/IMC), research publications or similar distinctions.
• Strong mathematical problem-solving ability and programming skills, ideally Python and/or C++.
• Experienced researchers from academia, AI labs, scientific computing or technology firms are equally welcome.
