Role: Linux Engineer

Location: Manila, Philippines OR Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Duration: 6-month extendable contract.

Job Responsibility

Minimum of 8 years; NixOS, Cilium, Suricata, nftables, Zeek experience preferred Deployment/Implementation,(R&S(L2), Firewall(Cisco/Forti/Checkpoint/Palo Alto), Linux OS, NixOS/RHEL/GUIX/Immutable OS, nftables, Security, Zoning, Stateful Fw)

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Linux Engineering, Network Engineering, or Infrastructure/Security Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience in Linux OS environments, preferably including:
• NixOS
• RHEL
• GNU Guix (GUIX)
• Immutable OS platforms
• Hands-on experience with deployment and implementation of Linux and network/security solutions.
• Strong understanding of Routing & Switching (L2).
• Experience with enterprise firewalls such as:
• Cisco
• Fortinet
• Check Point
• Palo Alto
• Strong knowledge of nftables and firewall configuration.
• Experience with stateful firewalls, security zoning, and network segmentation.
• Good understanding of Linux-based security implementation.
• Experience with Cilium is preferred.
• Experience with Suricata is preferred.
• Experience with Zeek is preferred.
• Strong understanding of network security, traffic inspection, and monitoring.
