CENTRE PRINCIPAL – 6-MONTH CONTRACT

Joyful Tots @ Bendemeer is looking for an experienced and dedicated Centre Principal to join our team on a 6-month contract.

The Role

As Centre Principal, you will provide overall leadership and management of the centre, ensuring high standards of care, learning and operational excellence.

You will be responsible for:
• Providing leadership and guidance to the teaching and support team
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the centre
• Ensuring compliance with ECDA requirements and regulatory standards
• Supporting curriculum planning and the quality of teaching and learning
• Building strong relationships with parents and responding to their needs
• Mentoring and developing teachers and staff
• Working closely with the Centre Director on centre operations, staff development and strategic planning
• Ensuring a safe, nurturing and positive environment for children and staff

Requirements

• ECDA-certified and eligible for appointment as a Centre Principal
• Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a preschool setting
• Strong knowledge of ECDA regulations and early childhood practices
• Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Passionate about working with children and supporting the professional growth of educators
• Able to work independently and manage a range of operational responsibilities

This position is suitable for an experienced preschool leader who is looking for a short-term leadership opportunity and can provide stability and continuity to the centre during a planned leadership transition.
