We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in the role of a Trainee/Junior SNP Shipbroker based in our Singapore Office.

As a Trainee/Junior SNP Shipbroker, your key responsibilities will be:

• You will start of supporting day-to-day activities of the Broker(s) and increase your knowledge and capabilities build
• Collecting and coordinating the information flow and reports as well as gathering market intelligence
• Establishing relationships, existing and new, develop business leads to conclude vessel sale & purchase transactions

Qualities required for this role:

• A degree in Shipping Business, International Trade, Maritime Studies or a related field is preferred
• An understanding of the shipping industry; previous experience in chartering or S&P is an advantage
• A commercial and outgoing mindset, with a strong ability to network, build relationships and market both opportunities and services
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Confidence and resilience, with the ability to perform well under pressure
• A proactive, self-disciplined and competitive approach
• Membership of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers is considered an advantage
• A mature and trustworthy approach, with a high level of commitment and dedication

Setting the expectations:

• The job will require work outside of normal hours since the shipping market never sleeps
• A large degree of responsibility and trust will be placed in you so you will have to be self-driven and hungry
• In return, you shall be compensated/rewarded adequately
