Job Summary

The Design Engineer will lead the design and engineering of solar PV systems for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Large Scale Solar (LSS) projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on experience, and GCPV certification to ensure all designs comply with Malaysian standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design of solar PV systems for C&I and LSS projects
• Perform system sizing, energy yield analysis, and optimization
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings including:
• Layout plans
• Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
• Electrical schematics
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and shading analysis
• Design DC & AC systems (inverter selection, cable sizing, protection systems)
• Ensure full compliance with Malaysian authorities:
• TNB
• SEDA
• Suruhanjaya Tenaga
• Prepare and review:
• Technical proposals
• Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
• Tender documents
• Provide technical guidance during installation, testing, and commissioning
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies
• Support project team to resolve technical issues on-site

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of experience in solar PV design (C&I & LSS)
• Certified Grid-Connected Photovoltaic (GCPV)
• Strong understanding of Malaysian solar regulations and grid requirements

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
