Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced CloudOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in managing cloud infrastructure and operations, with expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and networking, coupled with a strong understanding of AWS services, scripting languages, cloud integration/migration, and web hosting technologies. You will play a crucial role in maintaining, scaling, and optimizing our cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Kubernetes Management:
3. Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
4. Handle deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting of containerized applications.
5. Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
7. Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure using Terraform.
8. Automate cloud resource provisioning, scaling, and de-provisioning.
9. Networking:
11. Manage and troubleshoot networking solutions, including routing, firewalls, load balancing, and VPNs.
12. Ensure secure and efficient network connectivity for cloud-hosted applications.
13. Active Directory & DNS Management:
15. Configure and maintain Active Directory (AD) environments.
16. Implement and manage Group Policy objects (GPOs) to ensure a secure and efficient user environment.
17. Manage DNS services within AD for internal network name resolution and ensure proper configuration and functionality.
18. AWS Expertise:
20. Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure resources, including EC2, S3, RDS, and VPCs.
21. Utilize AWS Application Services such as Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, and Kinesis Data Firehose.
22. Configure and manage Route 53 for DNS management, including hosted zones, record sets, and domain routing.
23. Database Management:
25. Manage and maintain MSSQL and other database systems, including deployment, backup, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
26. Web Hosting:
28. Configure, manage, and troubleshoot web hosting solutions using Apache and Nginx.
29. Ensure high availability, security, and performance of hosted applications and websites.
30. Scripting & Automation:
32. Develop and maintain scripts using Bash and Windows scripting to automate routine tasks.
33. Troubleshoot and debug existing scripts to ensure reliability.
34. Programming Knowledge:
36. Read, analyze, and troubleshoot code in Python, Java, and JavaScript to support development teams and resolve issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of cloud/networking experience.
• Expertise in AWS Infrastructure Resources, including Route 53 for DNS management.
• Experience with AWS Application Services.
• Experience managing MSSQL databases and their operations.
• Proficiency in Terraform for managing infrastructure as code.
• Proficiency in Bash and Windows scripting for task automation.
• Basic proficiency in reading and troubleshooting Python, Java, and JavaScript.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
