Role Description This full-time, on-site Service Engineer role is based in Johor Bahru. The Service Engineer is responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining and repairing climate and energy systems at customer sites, ensuring safe and efficient operation. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing diagnostics and troubleshooting system issues, conducting routine inspections, and providing technical support and guidance to customers and internal teams. The role involves preparing service reports, coordinating with the service scheduling team, and ensuring adherence to company, safety and regulatory standards. The Service Engineer will collaborate closely with colleagues and customers to deliver reliable, high-quality service and support Carrier’s reputation for excellence.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose, analyze and resolve system issues efficiently.
• Candidates should possess solid Field Service experience, including on-site installation, commissioning and customer-facing service activities.
• Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair capabilities to perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs and system performance checks.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact clearly with customers, teammates and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
• Relevant technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, or a related engineering field is preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration or building systems and applicable safety standards is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently on-site, manage time and priorities, and maintain accurate service documentation.
• Willingness to travel locally for customer visits and to respond to service calls outside standard hours when required.
