Our client, an established high-tech manufacturing company in Singapore, is seeking Automation Technicians to support the maintenance, troubleshooting and improvement of production automation equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimising production downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of production automation machines and peripheral equipment.

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) to ensure optimal equipment performance.

• Diagnose machine faults and implement corrective actions to minimise production downtime.

• Provide technical support for machine vision systems and automated production equipment.

• Respond promptly to unexpected machine breakdowns during assigned shifts.

• Maintain accurate records of machine faults, repair activities, maintenance tasks and shift handovers.

• Support automation integration, equipment installation and improvement projects.

• Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend preventive measures.

• Collaborate with production, engineering and other departments to improve productivity and production yield.

• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Minimum NTC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Plastic Technology or other engineering-related disciplines.

• Hands-on experience in factory automation, production equipment maintenance or industrial machinery troubleshooting.

• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment and preventive maintenance.

• Knowledge of machine vision systems, robotics, sensors or pneumatic systems is advantageous.

• Experience in PLC programming or plastic injection moulding is an added advantage.

• Good troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.

• Willing to work permanent 12-hour day or night shifts.

Salary & Benefits

• Basic Salary: S$1,800 – S$2,600/month

• Day Shift Allowance: S$10 per shift

• Night Shift Allowance: S$20 per shift

• Attendance Allowance: S$100/month

• Overtime Pay (subject to applicable regulations and actual overtime hours worked)

Working Hours

12-Hour Shift | 3-4-4-3 Roster

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
