We are looking for a person who can connect the business needs of our clients to our engineering team.

This role starts as a business analyst role. After 18 to 24 months, the role can move to Solutions Architect. You will learn on live deals with the Head of Sales and our engineers.

Our sales cycles are long and technical. If you learn quickly and you can explain a technical concept in plain language, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Record client needs in discovery meetings
• Write requirements documents and process maps
• Write the first versions of RFP responses and security questionnaires
• Help prepare Autothought demos

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a business analyst, consultant or analyst
• Experience in financial services, insurance or an IT services company
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

Skills & Traits We’re Looking For

• You can make a map of a business process and write a clear requirements document
• You can explain a technical concept to a buyer who is not technical
• You know SQL, APIs and cloud basics at a concept level, and you want to learn more
• You write clear English
• Experience in insurance, for example underwriting or claims, is a bonus
• An AWS or Azure foundational certification is a bonus
• Client facing role, need to be comfortable speaking to prospects

What You’ll Do

1. Discovery and Requirements

• Attend client discovery meetings with the Head of Sales
• Record the business problem, the current process, the data sources and the constraints
• Change the notes into requirements documents that engineering can use to estimate the effort

2. RFPs and Security Questionnaires

• Write the first versions of RFP responses and security questionnaires for senior review
• Keep the library of approved answers current

3. Autothought Demos

• Prepare demo scenarios and sample data for Autothought demos

4. Handover to Delivery

• Tell the delivery PM what the signed scope contains
• If the delivery starts to move away from the signed scope, tell the team



5. Growth Path

• After 12 months, own the RFP responses and security questionnaires from start to end
• After 18 to 24 months, lead the solution design on mid-size deals and move to the Solutions Architect role
