WE’RE HIRING | SALES EXECUTIVE – EVENTS

Location: Bertam Resort & Water Park Penang, Kepala Batas

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to generate business for weddings, corporate functions, social celebrations and other special events at our resort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively generate new business for weddings, corporate events, meetings, private functions and social celebrations
• Handle event enquiries and convert qualified leads into confirmed bookings
• Meet prospective clients to understand their requirements, preferences and budgets
• Prepare customised proposals, event packages, quotations, contracts and presentations
• Conduct site inspections and showcase the resort’s event spaces, facilities and accommodation
• Negotiate event packages and commercial terms in line with approved pricing and hotel policies
• Maintain strong relationships with wedding planners, corporate clients, government agencies, event organisers and other business partners
• Conduct sales calls, client visits, networking activities and follow-ups
• Coordinate confirmed event requirements with Banquet, F&B, Kitchen, Front Office, Housekeeping and other operational departments
• Ensure complete and accurate event handovers, including contracts, deposits and event details
• Monitor market trends, competitors and potential business opportunities
• Maintain an updated sales pipeline and submit regular sales activity and revenue reports
• Conduct post-event follow-ups to encourage repeat business and referrals
• Achieve assigned monthly and annual event sales targets

Requirements:

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in hotel sales, event sales, wedding sales or a related position
• Strong experience in selling wedding packages and event spaces is preferred
• Proven ability to generate leads, negotiate effectively and close sales
• Excellent communication, presentation and client-servicing skills
• Energetic, target-driven and confident in meeting prospective clients
• Strong organisational and follow-up skills
• Able to work independently and collaborate with operational teams
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, when required
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English
• Experience in a hotel or resort environment will be an advantage
• Possession of own transport is preferred

Pay: From RM2,000.00 per month
