About Company:

Our client is a well-known Japanese company and established in Singapore since 1973. The company offers a variety of products including seasonings, frozen foods, processed foods, beverages, sweeteners and amino acids for the consumer market as well as the catering and food processing industries. Apart from its marketing and sales activities locally, the company also performs vital functions to support the Group’s global operations, such as the procurement of flexible packaging materials, chemicals and raw materials, the provision of logistic solutions, and developing new businesses in the region.

Job Description:

- Liaise and build strong relationships with both suppliers and customers.

- Manage and coordinate with factories and customers on order fulfilment, including resolving supply chain issues that may arise.

- Freight negotiation and shipment booking.

- Provide professional advice on loss prevention and liaise/negotiate with insurance company when need arise.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date order fulfilment records.

Job Requirements:

- At least Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field

- 3 - 5 years of experience in freight, logistics coordination or trade operations.

- Good-to-have: Working knowledge of marine cargo insurance and claims handling

- Preferably: Familiarity with Incoterms 2020

- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP (HANA) / SAP Business One system would be an added advantage

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

- Able to travel occasionally for overseas business trips

Compensation:

- Working location: Central, Singapore

- Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
